Artist Zoe Crosher’s projects are complex and expansive, but their roots run deep. We lover her exploration of the disconnect between what we think is real and what is pure fantasy.
“There was a specific way in which I was thinking about what happens to those who go West, and then what actually happens when they finally get there. There’s a notion that you go and make this tremendous journey and you get to the edge of the Pacific – and then what? A lot of my work also collapses fact and fiction, and I do conceptual mapping of LA in these different ways. This extends to thinking about characters, real and fictional, who “disappeared” at the edge of the Pacific.” – Zoe Crosher
