CURIO exhibition and Fainting Club, curated and presented by Yasmine M. Zodeh and Sandi Turner
This month, Jamestown LP’s Sandi Turner, artist & Fainting Club founder Zoe Crosher, & Curio Curator Yasmine M. Zodeh are proud to host the 12th Fainting Club. Inspired by the Renaissance Cabinet of Curiosities in which scholars would collect and display unusual objects and works of art, CURIO poses the question: what would a contemporary California scholar seek to acquire and contemplate? Held at Brunswig Square in Little Tokyo, the event reflects on our roles as curious women in this California environment.
The evening will feature new and existing work by eight California-based artists. Each artist has been exhibited internationally and their practices vary, greatly all the while engaging and exploring California’s culture, history, and politics. Please join us for an evening of exciting conversation, cocktails, and dinner inspired by the concept of CURIO. Let’s come together to combine our scholarly viewpoints and rebuild and strengthen our relationships as women.
